Bocce Details

Team check-in is from 9:30am – 10:15am

Tournament starts at 10:30am SHARP

If you aren’t checked-in by 10:15am you risk losing your spot.

The Bocce tournament follows a similar structure as the World Cup.  Assuming we have a full 64 teams, there will be 16 groups of 4 teams, and we start with a round robin where each team plays the other 3 teams in their group.  After that the top 2 teams advance to a 32-team single elimination tournament.  There are cash prizes for the top 4 teams.

The entry cost is $60 per team.  Each team consists of 2 or 3 players – this is done to keep the rate of play moving.  At any given time in a match at least two players need to be playing per team – so if someone needs to leave for some reason (use the restroom, grab food, feels like sitting out, etc) they can do it.  All three players can be playing at the same time, the only rule is that no player can throw more than two balls any given round.  Teams can bring only two players but they lose that flexibility.

We will be taking a maximum of 64 teams, so register now to lock up your spot.

This is lawn bocce – rectangle courts will be painted on the grass and the balls must stay within those borders.  It is also for charity and more casual than some bocce tournaments.  If you’re just looking to come out and have a good time this is the tournament for you.
